HUNGARY DAILY BLOG

MODAY:

The first day we saw a presentation of Eger and the shool, done by the hungarians, after we got to visit the school and we saw a lot of things like: the gym, the kitchen, the dorms and our personal favourite was the library. Next we participated in an English lesson with Norbert Schmidt about civilization. At the end of the tour we ate together at the canteen, and the food was terrible. After that we went to Tarnaszentmiklós to the Juhász brothers where we had the chance to see the horses and to drive the carriages. When we arrived back to the school the programms were over for that day so we had free time. In our free time us and Anita and Sára went to a place called Király pizza and we ate some gyroses, when we finished eating we went to the Shopping centre and bought some sweets and than we went home.

TUESDAY:

The second day we woke up early to take train to Budapest. Going by train was a long time but it was great because we had a lot of time to talk to eachother.  When we arrived we walked a lot and saw the Heroes square, City park, Andrássy avenue and the Danube bank. After that we went to the side  Buda where we went eating and after that we had the chance to see the Parlament from the inside. After we went with the underground train to go the Nyugati train station.  At that point we were so tired and our legs were hurting really bad but on the train we could relax a bit. Than we arrived to Eger and we went to Brigi’s fathers place and tried pálinka and some susages. Than we went home and slept a lot.

WEDNESDAY:

On the third day we had to come to school at 9 so we could sleep a bit more and when we arrived the program was to learn and make a Hungarian traditional dish the Goulash soup. The cooking was really fun we had to chop up all the ingridients  and we had the 3 spanish exchange students helping us. While the soup was cooking we went to see a  handball match. Than we went back to school and tried the goulash that we made. It was a bit spicy but it was great and flavourful. When we finished eating we went to the Termal bath where we had so much fun. than we went to Dobó square and we tried the Chimney cake which was great. than we went to Brigi’s father place again where we tried pálinka once more and we ate some hurka and sült kolbász. Than we went home.

 

THURSTDAY:

On thurstday we visited a typing lesson and tried it out which we wasn’t the best in. Thand we went sightseeing where Norbert guided us around Eger. We saw the Downtown,Cathedral and the Széchenyi street. Than we had to took some pictures of us in front of the monuments which was fun. Than we went back to the school where we ate lunch that was better than the first time. After we had free time where we went to Sthümmer where we bought some cocholates and we went to Dobó Square where we bought some souvenirs for our families. Than we went to the Friends coffe where we tried the Pimpkin spice latte which was good but we couldn’t taste the pumpkin inside. Next we went to Sara’s place where we got ready for going out. We went to the Valley of The Beautiful Women. We went to the Juhász brothers wine shop were we tried four different kinds of wine including the Egri Bikavér. We don’t usually drink wine and we don’t really like it but we still tried it. Than we went to a place Called Sörgödör where we drank some more. Brigi’s father picked us up and he brought us to Mcdonalds and than we went home and packed.

FRIDAY:

We woke up and packed some more things  and than we came to school where we wrote blogs together  about our whole week. Than we went and ate lunch and sadly after that we had to say our goodbyes and the Italians went and took the train to Budapest.
